Nagarmotha or Nut Grass as it is called is a perennial herb that belongs to the straw family. Botanically known as Cyperus scariosus, Nagarmotha is a small bush that grows up to 1.3 ft. in height. It is common plant found all over India especially around damp grounds near canal and river banks. Nagarmotha, also called Mustak in Hindi, flowers in July and produces fruits in December.
Being sour, bitter and pungent in taste it helps alleviate Kapha and Pitta, blood disorders, and various skin disorders.

Usage: 1. Clean your face with a non foaming face wash and pat dry with cotton pads or a mul cloth. 2. Use a dry spoon to measure the quantity you need. 3. Prepare mask by mixing with water/pure Rose water/Aloe Vera gel into a paste. 4. Apply on face and neck in soft upward strokes to form a smooth layer. 5. Avoid application around the eyes. For daily use, leave on for 5 minutes. For weekly deep cleansing treatments, apply about one-quarter inch thick and leave on the skin for 20 minutes.
