Turmeric (Curcuma longa) or Haldi known in Hindi is the boiled, dried, cleaned and polished rhizomes of Curcuma longa. Turmeric is native spice to India, which produces the World’s 80% of turmeric. . It is a spice which provides flavor and color to most of the curries and dishes. It is also used in the food industry as an edible coloring in mustards, butter, cheese and liqueurs.
